Do you feel safe in your life? The very foundation of well-being is dependent on feeling safe, both physically and mentally, yet millions of people each year either witness or experience violence in their own homes. Until we are able to break the generational ties often associated with abuse and adopt zero-tolerance policies for violence, these cycles of abuse are continuously perpetuated. This week, we would like to welcome our guest, Sabrina Osso, to our podcast. Sabrina has made it her mission to help promote safety and prevent violence in the workplace, schools and homes through education and technology. Her innovative approaches to combating home violence through concepts like ‘conditional residencies' place the responsibility of stopping the violence on the abuser and the community, rather than the victim. Simply stated, if you make the home safe, everything else will fall into place.
Sabrina Osso is the Founder and CEO of OSSO SAFE… Feel Safe Where You Live, Work, and Play. She is a TEDx Speaker, Domestic Violence Speaker, Real Estate Agent, and Consultant on promoting safety and preventing violence in the workplace, schools, and in places of residence. Combining education and technology, clients can save lives and bottom lines.
Sabrina’s personal and professional experience with the subject allow her to bring a unique and holistic approach for employers, landlords, tenants, students, and teachers.
She was honored and grateful to have been one of the featured TEDx Talk Speakers at New Jersey City University’s TEDx TALK Event on April 5th, 2018. Her presentation was very well received and is now broadcast.
It is Osso Safe’s strong belief that the eradication of home violence must not be in the hands of the victims, but instead, the responsibility of the institutions of society, namely schools, workplaces, the real estate industry, the sports industry, lawmakers/politicians, hospitals, and in our everyday conversations. Treating this enormous problem as a charity is not a beneficial approach. Out with the Old and In With the New.
Sabrina and her company were featured in the July/August 2013 issue of Meadowlands USA Magazine. She has been hired for numerous speaking engagements throughout NY/NJ, including radio interviews such as Golden Life Living with Charise Colbert, Ordaining Reality with Dr. Joseph Donlan, The Billionaire Lifestyle Podcast with Emmitt Muckles, Healthy Relationship Talk Radio with Daaiyah Cixx, and Erupt Online Podcast from Nigeria with Akinjobi Sodiq.
She graduated from Montclair State University with a B.S. in Computer Science. Sabrina regularly takes Continued Education Courses at Rutgers University to keep abreast of issues associated with home violence. She is also a professional dancer/actress who uses her performance talents to educate on the subject.
