Our guest today is Debbie Anderson, a natural healer who has worked in the sphere of spirituality all of her life. A clairvoyant medium now living in Canada, Debbie has been doing intuitive spiritual readings around the world for more than 35 years. Debbie is one of the leading authorities on using vibrational energy in your day-to-day life to achieve inner and outer peace. She teaches her many vibrational courses and workshops around the world. She also developed a vibrational energy therapy, which is available as a course online. Debbie, welcome to the Lifelong Wellness podcast. How are you doing today?
Debbie: I'm doing so well, Wes. Thank you so much for inviting me on board.
Host: What do you say first of all, when you introduce yourself to people as a clairvoyant and medium? What do you say to skeptics?
Debbie: (laughing) Well, it can be a comical introduction sometimes, because when people find out I’m a clairvoyant medium, the first thing people say is, “So, what are you reading off of me?” And I could have so much fun at their expense, but then I have to remember that’s not the way it is. So, I sometimes say to people, “I see dead people”. (clears throat)…(laughing)… Which can open up a very strange conversation. As you can tell, I bring a lot of humor to what I do because I think it is important. You know, humor is the one thing that will help us survive any catastrophe.
Host: Very true.
Debbie: So, I’m usually known to be a goofball with people that know me. So I try to explain that this is what anybody does past the spirit. That could be a loved one, friends, etc. I am blessed with the ability to communicate with them and of course, some people think, “Oh, thank you. And I’m having this conversation”. And of course, this is where I’ll step in to say that everybody’s psychic and we can communicate and we get messages from our guides to help us, our ancestors, those that depart us in spirit by way of sending us thoughts. You know, we get that thought of somebody in our mind or we all of a sudden will hear a tune that will remind us of a place and a person and then we start to think about that person. But I will say there’s a little bread crumb the spirit is sending to us for us to intuitively or with our gut feeling to connect to. And when we do that, then we get more bread crumbs and more bread crumbs, you know? It’s so much fun and everybody can do this for themselves. The way I do it as a clairvoyant, I see, I sense, I feel, I hear. And it can be a combination of all those thrown in together and I will say to people it’s like having a jigsaw puzzle, throwing the pieces onto the table and finding there’s no picture on the box. So I have to piece everything together and get the information and it can be so revealing. And for me in that particular phase, I suppose, is when I tell somebody something and they say, “Oh, no. I can’t accept that” or “I don’t understand that”. And of course, I know the person in spirit wants them to know that. You know, some people think, “Oh, it’s a compound clause” when I say, “Can you just hold that? Write it down because it’s very important”. And it’s lucky when people come back to me and say, “You know when you’re talking about…”, whatever it was, “Well, I actually found that box or I found that photograph or I found that item, so thank you very much”. So that, to me, is the concrete proof when there’s something they don’t know and they have to do their own research for it. I had a gentleman just recently that was, I think it was his mother had passed into spirit, and when she came through she kept on talking about this box, this blue box with the zipper around it. And I was thinking, “How can a blue box have a zipper”? So I’ve seen images of a box, it was blue with a zipper. And I said, “There’s some information in there for what you are looking for”, and he said, “No, I don’t think we got a blue box with a zipper on it”. So I said, “I’m telling you now she’s saying it’s down in the basement, it’s in that cupboard in the corner” and he said to me, “Yes…? I haven’t been in there for a long time”. You know, I can’t make this up. Truly, I cannot. Anyway, the long and the short of it was he came back to me he said, “It wasn’t actually a box but it was a blue bag that was square with a zipper on it and there was some information in there”. It wasn’t exactly what he was looking for so I said, “Well, looks like you’re going to be on a journey of discovery now because it’s giving you the first bit of the bread crumb to go and find it for yourself”. These are the things that I love when I’m sharing that. I love that people get peace, they get closure and, you know, the one thing that I will say to everyone that’s listening is when somebody passes on into the spirit, whatever their belief system is, they’re always met by somebody on the other side. And, you know, I always say, it’s like if we travel somewhere, we’re going to an airport and we don’t know how to get to the hotel or to the resort or whatever and there is somebody there standing, holding a little banner that has our name on it and then all of the sudden we feel comfortable. It’s like, “Okay. I’m okay. I don’t have to be concerned about this”. So, there’s always somebody there.
Host: Well, that’s reassuring.
Debbie: Yes, it is. And I think for all of us, especially if somebody passes in a lot of pain or someone hasn’t been able to say goodbye to them, those kinds of reassurances help them to go through their grief process because there’s still grief attached to it. You know, my dad passed about four years ago and I was very blessed to has spent time with him, although our relationship in early life was not the greatest. After part of my life, he and I got together, healed our wounds kind of thing and we actually, he was such great support of my work. And had many, many conversations well before he got sick and was diagnosed with cancer. And so his journey, he’d already asked lots of questions. So when he went, he was living in Australia but decided to go back to England to die and spend time with one of my twin brothers. And during that process, my brothers and I got to heal some of our wounds and some of the things that kept us apart. And so this whole experience of his death brought us, his three children, together again. And of course, my family, knowing what I do, dealt with it in a way that they dealt with it and that’s okay. You know, my mom says she’s one of them, I’m not quite sure what “one of them” is but all she says “I am one”. (laughing) And my brothers never talked about it. So it opened up this whole conversation. And after dad passed into spirit what was so beautiful about the experience, because I knew he’s going to come back and visit me, he actually went back to visit both my brothers and gave them concrete proof of existence that goes on in spirit. So, you know, for that I couldn’t ask for that, I didn’t ask for that but I’m just so pleased. You know, those are the kind of things that to me changed things. You know, I don’t fear death at all. (laughing)
Host: Talking to you I am kind of feeling comfortable about that, too, because what you're saying is quite reassuring.
Debbie: Yes.
Host: Now, our religion, science tries to explain and, you know, tries to tell us about the ultimate mystery. And the ultimate mystery is, what is beyond life? Is there life after death? And many people try to answer that question. We maybe think about it consciously, subconsciously, and everyone has their own answer to it. What do you believe?
Debbie: Well, my husband, Chris, he’s a pastor, a congressionalist. We actually met at one of his workshops and when we get that déjà vu and of course it’s the other way round, it actually means we’re going to do something. We have been alerted that there is something that is going to happen in our life. And yes, we could be in old costumes or historical settings. It’s just a reminder. There’s been many cases to do with past life and reincarnation. There are excerpts in the Bible, and please don’t get me to quote them because I don’t know. That’s all his field. (laughing) You know, I think it was the quote about being the reincarnation of John the Baptist or something like that. So, it’s been there in the Bible. And if people believe that, I always say, you know, this is just one of many adventures that we can go on. If you look at reincarnation as each lifetime being an adventure. And with my belief, because in spirit form, when we’re in energy form, which is what we return to when we pass back into spirit, we’re just pure love. We don’t have the heavy emotions that we have, that we come here on Earth which is dense, not stupid dense, I mean just a very heavy environment. That when we come here what happens is we experience emotions so it helps us to grow and learn and experience. Because, you know, people say to me, “Why does this keep happening to me in my life?”. And I simply say, “You got to step back from all the emotions of that particular happening” and that can be very hard. It can be extremely hard because we are water. Water is emotion. (laughing) It’s there in our DNA, if you like, in our body. So when we step back from any situation that we’re in and look at it from the outside perspective, then that’s when we can give ourselves direction. You know, I’ve concluded that there has not been one single, second moment in my life where I haven’t been in the right place at the right time. And because I’ve experienced that, maybe that was something I need to experience. And, you know, I’ve experienced physical abuse, I’ve experienced lots of different things, I have experienced everything and I hope in this reincarnation I don’t but I think that’s what I had to experience. I experienced I almost died. (laughing) And a few people had that experience. So, when we put it into perspective because people say to me, “What is my soul purpose? What am I supposed to do?”
Host: Yes.
Debbie: And this is what I always answer it because I truly believe it. Be in the now. Be in that present moment with exactly what you’re doing. That’s what you’re supposed to do. In every given moment that comes to us in our lifetime. And that for me is, you know…So, I know that if I have to feel though that I’m in the wrong place at the wrong time, I’m not. There’s something else there that maybe I’m not quite getting it or I’m not seeing all it is to somebody else because there are no mistakes. We marry that person, we take that job, we move this location, whatever it is that is what we are supposed to do.
Host: Right.
Debbie: But there are no wrong roads.
Host: Right.
Debbie: I mean, I know there are no wrong roads so we don’t have to panic about it, we don’t have to get worried about it. We don’t have to go into, “I’m not doing this right”, you know?
Host: Or the “what ifs”.
Debbie: Yes.
Host: What if I had done this or what if I live there.
Debbie: Yes.
Host: What if I marry that person or etc., etc.
Debbie: There’s a wonderful movie and I think it was in the early 90s called, “Sliding Doors”. It had Gwyneth Paltrow in it and if anybody hasn’t watched that, watch that movie because it’s the easiest way that I can explain that when we go through one door and turn left and go in that direction if we have supposed to turn right, that will take us back on to that road again. And, you know, it’s very cleverly done this movie where you can see her going in two different directions and how they turn out if we are supposed to achieve something to be somewhere to do something. And we miss that opportunity the first time around because we guided off in another direction, you can come back and do it. You’re not going to miss it. There are no possibilities for it.
Host: As a clairvoyant and medium, you’re talking about spirits and the afterlife, most of the information that we get is from Hollywood. So, how would you say that you know, the exposure I've had to all of this from Hollywood is different from what you practice or what you experienced? What are the differences between Hollywood and real life?
Debbie: Well, I have to bring a few movies that I do feel depict the essence of what I do. The Bruce Willis movie where I get the “I see dead people”, that was such an amazing movie to show the different transitions of spirit and day-to-day life into connecting.
Host: Right.
Debbie: The other movie I like is Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze in “Ghost” because again that shows that, you know, sometimes it’s not with Patrick Swayze’s saying to Whoopi Goldberg, “Tell her I love her. Tell her I love her” and Demi Moore’s like, “No” and the soon that he says, “Ditto”, which to any of us we go if we didn’t know that we go, “Why would I say Ditto?” But thankfully Whoopi in her clairvoyant state passed it on and that’s what resonated and so I love that one. And the other movie which is more to do with reincarnation is “What Dreams May Come” with Robin Williams. And I just picked three there because I think there are some cases where Hollywood actually connects with it. It resonates with me anyway. And of course, the whole idea of Hollywood is to entertain.
Host: Yes.
Debbie: So if, you know, the swinging watch is how we assume people hypnotiz,e or the inverted pentagram has to do with the devil, you know, that’s how they're going to get the entertainment across. So, they’re doing a job just as I am doing a job and, you know, so the it's the smile and walk away game “Well, that’s quite an experience”. (laughing)
Host: You believe in reincarnation?
Debbie: Yes, I do. As I said, my husband’s a pastor, a congressionalist. And we’ve actually gone through lives that we have been in together and he’s been my father, I’ve been his mother, we were lovers and he actually poisoned me and killed me in that life. So, maybe I shouldn’t drink wine now. (laughing) I joke. But we all had these lessons. How we actually met was quite synchronistic as far as, you know, he was doing this workshop in the UK. A friend contacted me and told me about it. I couldn’t go initially because I had other things, and then everything just cleared on my schedule and I ended up going. And no, it wasn’t the “Glory Be To God On High”, you know, angels and things when I first met him.
Okay.
It was a working relationship to start with. I was helping him organize some workshops and things. But what happened then was the synchronicity that when we had sat down and spoken about the times and places where he had been when he was in the UK, I had been there, too. Our paths have been crossed. So again, “Sliding Doors”, if we meant to have that connection, it will happen. So, you know, I do believe in reincarnation. I don’t think that we just have this one incarnation because I have too many memories of things, places that I go to, and I’m really drawn to that place. Or places I go to and I go, “Oh, I really don’t want to be here”. It’s not a country I want to go to or something like that.
Host: Right.
Debbie: That’s what connects us to our past lives. It wouldn’t be something that’s in my DNA because of my family or anything in history or things like that. You know, I was drawn to Mexico, to the Mayan Riviera. I didn’t know that at that time we ended up going on a vacation there and we went to the Mayan Ruins and I’m like, “I’d been here before” because I was walking around in different places and I saw this, I saw that. And because of certain places, we couldn’t go in and we were talking to the guide and he sort of watching at me and I say, “Okay, I’m one of those weird people. Don’t worry.”. (laughing) And so, it was, you know, places that we go to or recognition unless it is something either our parent or ancestors that told us. So, that’s why sometimes we go somewhere we like it, we immediately feel like it’s home and then another place we go in like, “Oh, I’ve got to get out of it”. Maybe that was the life you were murdered in that country or in that location, where the other one is a happy one.
Host: Is this something that only you can do or is this something that I can do as well or can I create awareness or train myself to do this and become psychic?
Debbie: Yes. I say everybody is psychic. When we’re born we have that innate ability to see spirit. That’s why you see little babies looking up in the ceiling and smiling and chatting away or, you know, the cat looking at the wall or something like that and it’s like, “What is he seeing? There’s nothing there”. They sense and see spirit. So up to around about the age of eight, we all have that within us. Usually, about eight is when reasoning comes in and we have to sort of make that change and focus on school or whatever. And depending upon if the family is supportive then, you know, it would determine whether that child would continue to see a spirit or not. I was one of those children who didn’t have any support. So my communion with the spirit was in and out as I went through my lifetime. So, stepping back to, can anybody do this, yes. And as I said it starts with those sense of when you get that innate sense that you haven’t heard from somebody or all of a sudden you take a wrong turn in your driving along the road, you going like, “I don’t know I’m going this direction but I feel there’s a need to go this direction”. Follow it through and then tap into it. When we get the messages, which we do get all the time in every single day in lots of moments, especially if we’re asking for help. And this is one thing that I say to people that if it’s been a while that you’ve not connected with spirit, it’s just before going to bed at night. You know, all the electronics switch off so as the tinging, tingings aren’t a distraction. Just lay on your bed for a moment. Take some nice cleansing breaths, three breaths in, and three breaths out. You know, breathe in, breathe out.
Host: Yes.
Debbie: Three times.
Host: Yes.
Debbie: And just ask for help with whatever you need. And if it isn’t for you and it’s for somebody else, people call these prayers. Okay? So, it’s no different. That’s what it is, it’s a prayer.
Host: Great. So, that’s basically what it is.
Debbie: So, we’re sitting in that focus or lying in that focus and then we drift off to sleep and that’s what I say to everybody, have a journal or notepad or something by your bed because as soon as you wake up in the morning write down how you’re feeling at that moment. Anything you got from your dream and then you start to create an interpretation. Now, when we do this on a regular basis…
Host: Yes.
Debbie: What spirit do is go, “Oh, they want to connect”. And usually, it would be an ancestor, somebody that we would know so we would trust them.
Host: Family?
Debbie: Family or friend and anybody that’s already connected in the spirit in some way, maybe it’s a guide to help or an angel. And this is something I love to say to people, just so be aware we all have a guardian angel that watches over us. And it is those times when we get whispers. “Don’t go down that road” or “You need to go into this particular store”. So then they’re there to help and guide us. So in sleep, before we go to sleep, I take my three breaths, I ask a question and then as I’m drifting off to sleep, I spent that time in gratitude for what’s happened in my day. The blessings if you’d like. So, I’m happy that I’d had sunshine today or I got fresh vegetables or the car that almost hit me didn’t hit me. So, when sometimes people say, “I don’t know how to be in gratitude”, you know, I would say there are five things that we can all do. We’re very blessed living here in Canada or in North America. You know, we have clean air to breathe, we have fresh water to drink. Most of us are blessed to have a roof over our head and food in our bellies and friends. That’s five blessings straight off the bat and we haven’t even got to think about that and then we add to that. And that’s when we drift off into sleep because we’re in that blessings, we’re in that state of caring. Now, you can add up prayers at that point that’s why you can say, “Please can you send healing” or “Can you help this person” or whatever it is because again we’re in gratitude. But take note and please, if it happens in that first time, well done. Absolutely well done, but don’t give up on this. Don’t give up on this because I have people that say, “But I didn’t get anything the first time”. And I’m like, “So when we get to ride a bike the very first time you got on it and you zoom down the road? You didn’t fall off a few times? You didn’t need somebody to hold you at the back?” I think we have expectations that we live in that, “Can I have fries with that nanosecond world?” but everything’s so in instantaneous blop that we want to give up on things. And I would say, “What do you get to lose? You’re already going to flip? So why don’t you just take this time to make that connection?” And then what happens is when we wake up that next day, we make our notes, etc. Maybe we didn’t get everything that we need and maybe our dreams seem like a Salvador Dali painting although we have meat, cheese, and chocolates just before going to bed.
Host: It can be confusing at times, yes.
Debbie: Yes! So, I always say to people take the symbols that have come through in that dream and then start to interpret them. What do they mean to you? For instance, if I, you know, somebody symbolize or clock in my dream. So I said, “Well, you know, there are so many things attached to a clock. It could mean that you feel you don’t have enough time, the time has stopped, you’ve got to stop”. You know, I threw out all these different things associated with a clock. You know, somebody said, “Well, I saw a ballerina” and I said, “Well, she was on tiptoes. Maybe you feel you’re tiptoeing around on something or maybe you have to tread softly”. You know, we all have to put this into context with our own lives and what is happening with us at that moment based on what we’re asking for. And as I said like a jigsaw puzzle. It started to decipher, you create your own deciphering code and the more you do this the easier it becomes. I can reassure you with that.
Host: I need to ask you a question.
Debbie: Yes.
Host: And that is about the spirit.
Debbie: Okay.
Host: How do I word this? Is the spirit something that is separate from us and we can be aware of it or is it us and we're just aware of ourselves? What is our relationship with our spirit?
Debbie: Well, our spirit is us. I’ll step further into that and I don’t want to offend anybody here but God is within us. If we make any image of God then we are God. And it is not having God complex here but when we understand that we have the ability to shift the change to be in that moment because of the love that we’re transmitted to us through that, everything is possible. So I don’t believe we’re separate entities. People talk about mind, body, and spirit while I put them all together in one big bowl of wax and say we are all of that.
Host: Okay.
Debbie: We’re all of that because our mind is our database, it’s our processor. It’s the thing that keeps us out of trouble, it’s our fight or flight part of us that moves us into something or away from something with a quickness. But it can also be the mind chatter. Whereas our spirit I would always say it’s heart-centered because everything is because of love and that emotion. Whereas our spirit is trying to say to us, “You know, maybe we should be forward with it”. Whereas the mind chatter’s going, “No, no, no. This is too dangerous. You’ve done this before. It never worked out”. I’m talking about relationships because we do that. “I’m not going to go into another relationship. Where is your house going?” But if you don’t experience this how are you going to grow? So it’s almost like these two, I would say it’s like the angel and the devil, well not the angel and the devil, but like two different people that are on this. So, here’s what I suggest to people and this is a very good thing is, when you’re having that battle between the heart and head, is just taking a moment and say to head, “Thank you for sharing”. And we know if we say to somebody “Thank you for sharing”, they have an acceptance. It resonates whether they have to keep on pushing. It slows everything down. Though we might find that when we are in our heart, okay this is absolutely ridiculous, some silly or maybe your head was right. But if we don’t allow the balance between the two to come into resonance with each other, then we won’t move forward. It will keep looping as I say in that little whole little set up that we created for us, that is our safety bubble. Let’s be in our safety bubble. And of course, our body encompasses the mind and the heart, the spirit. Though it’s our vehicle that moves us, it’s the physical vehicle that moves us around. So, they are all interconnected. They’re not separate. And when we learn that and understand that, you know, I listen. If I’m out somewhere especially when I am on tour, you know spirit always fate me there are certain things I should and shouldn’t eat. And the reason being is my husband and I would get up early, we’ll have breakfast and then we may not finish until 9, 10 o’clock at night. Where to eat burgers and fries at 10 o’clock at night. Well, I don’t think it to be a healthy and a good way to put my body to sleep. So, you know, there are certain things they say, you know, you should and shouldn’t eat or, you know, try to avoid this and bring this or whatever. And so, that’s why I said to people, “Listen to your body”. If you have that yearning for milk and you don’t drink milk, maybe there’s something that’s depleted within you. And I would always say if my body says I want chocolate, I got to question that. Although, my GP said many, many years ago that one square of, I think 90% cacao has a lot of oxygen in it so it’s great for building the immune system, but that doesn’t mean to eat the whole bar. One little square. So, you know, even when we, you know, hear something and we’re guided to it. Like at the moment because where I live in Southern Ontario, we got such a crop of beautiful, fresh vegetables. I can’t infuse enough of them. And I’m a carnivore but put me by fresh vegetables and I’ll just infuse them. It just comes in. You know, listen to that. You know, in the winter if you want chicken soup or you want chicken soup then have it and don’t just look at that.
Host: I have a question about something that you've written about and published, the meditations that you have for people to achieve wellness and bliss. And I don't understand this and you’ll have to explain this to me, vibrational energy therapy that you teach the people.
Debbie: Yes, I do.
Host: What is this?
Debbie: Now, to understand vibrational energy to start with is we again tend to put it something outside of our self. So, the concept of vibrational energy understood by the ancient ancestors that it was a way of calling us through energy, a bit like ESP. So, each vibration creates a pattern. It’s unique to itself and yet it resonates without us. So, we as human beings, let’s just take that one as to start with. We, as human beings resonate either in a way that we’re attracted to somebody or we feel repelled from them. So that depends on what frequency they are transmitting. Think it like radio waves.
Host: Okay.
Debbie: We understand that we can hear the radio and yet the achievement of it is there sent through a transmission. And if I dial-up on my radio or I moved to the station I want to listen to, whether it’s rock, whether it’s meditation music, whether it’s rock music or whatever, that’s the station I’m tuning into. So think about it as your vibration. They’re not right or wrong, because sometimes I’ll need meditation music or I’ll need rock music.
Host: Right.
Debbie: Depending upon how I am in my frequency. For instance, if I’m doing housework, it’s not something that I enjoy doing. So I put on some country music and make it so that I can embrace and enjoy that. So when we understand that everything has a vibration and it’s basically just a fancy way of saying an overall state of being. We’re all made up of energy and we vibrate different frequencies. So like the radio station if you tune in to it, that particular one it helps us in whatever way we need. And energy can operate at high or low frequencies in and around us. And please before people think, “Higher frequency is the better one”. There’s no right or wrong. It is purely what we transmit out of ourselves from our heart center.
Host: Can we change that vibration?
Debbie: Yes, we can! Of course, we can. If we go into our heart center, which I always feel that everything is about being at heart and we love ourselves and we transmit that love, then of course our frequency is going to change. And if we are in the other frequency or another frequency where we’re completely distraught, we feel the world is out to get us, and everything we do turns to dust, then we’re transmitting that. And this is what I say to people, in fact, my husband shares with me quite frequently if I’m getting into what I call my “I can’t do this” mode. And he would say to me, “You can catch a lot more flies with honey than you can with vinegar”. And I love it because it means that when we change our frequency from a negative or low energy point and low energy can also mean that we’re sick or ill. Our energy depletes so we need to boost that up. We need to make ourselves feel better in whatever way works for us.
Host: I’m not aware of energies but I can definitely discern when somebody is putting out nervous energy, negative energy, and positive energy. I can discern between these three…
Debbie: Which is perfect.
Host: I’m not aware of any others but I do know that “Okay, this person is sending out negative vibes”.
Debbie: Yes.
Host: And it's a thing. I believe it. And if this person isn’t sending positive vibes, this person is fidgety and very nervous and he’s making his kids nervous or her kids nervous. And then I feel that I don't know if this is true I got to check, I got to check with you, Debbie. Animals and children can pick up much better energy than adults like me.
Debbie: Yes. And when I revert back to what I was saying at the beginning like with the cats sitting, they’re looking at the wall, they’re already connected.
Host: Yes.
Debbie: And an animal knows fear. You know, somebody that I knew many years ago that raised horses. And, you know, I’m one of these people that I like big animals from a distance and I’ve heard that horses do tend to bite. So she said to me, “But if you’re bringing that fear with you as we go down to see the horses, guess what they’re going to bite you because they’re going to fulfill that”. So, I said, “Okay. I got to see horses, my friend”. And we went down and there was this one horse and she said, “He is such a beggar”. He kept on pushing me and he was just nuzzling me, you know, from the back because we were walking down the field because I wasn’t paying attention to him. So I was stopped and I just rubbed his nose and then he would be okay for a while. So, yes, animals do sense very much so. And they’re probably the first responders in case of fire. They smell it. They sense it or they sense if something different. That’s why we always say if you are in a forest or something like that and you see loads of animals running past you, follow them. Because something’s going on that is not good. Now, whether it’s a bear, whether it’s a fire, whether it’s something else they know, they sense these things. The wonderful part about it is we can shift our energy. And I’m a great believer that when we think, we say, we do in a positive way it raises our vibration. And it also raises the vibration of those around us, although it is detractive to us. And when we talk about, just stepping back into talking about vibrational energy, what we tend to forget is everything emits a vibration. Look at the drum. A drum or a flute or a guitar is an innate object. It doesn’t move but the soon as we add our body to that in some way, it creates sound.
Host: Yes.
Debbie: And, you know, I think it was Emoto, I can’t remember his last name, the Japanese guide that had done the discoveries on plants. And one had been, you know, a lot of love and care and how beautiful soft music playing and one with a run to that and rock. The difference is just how they actually grew based on just the sound, the vibration coming to them. So, yes, there is a huge amount of it. And I find in myself that there are certain times I can’t be in a noisy environment but I could listen to a thunderstorm…
Host: Right.
Debbie: And you’re saying that could be much noisier than being in a situation but it’s a different vibration.
Host: Right.
Debbie: So, if you are attracted to the thunderstorm, go on and listen to it. Obviously, it’s vibrating in you and where we are, we are in Southern Ontario, we get some amazing electric storms which resonate through your whole bodies. So, I’m very blessed to be here. (laughing)
Host: Now, how does the therapy with vibrational energy work that you teach?
Debbie: Yes.
Host: So, what does the therapy do for us?
Debbie: Okay, so when spirit gifted this to me some years ago, I didn’t understand it either. I’ve always done what I call “Hands-on Healing”, that was to apply the hands and let the energy come through in whatever form.
Host: Oh, physically.
Debbie: Yes, like in a physical way.
Host: Okay.
Debbie: And I have learned many, many years ago in England to do what they call, “Closet Hands-on Healing”. And of course, now it’s gone off in some wonderful developments with all these different things that we have, we have IQ, we have access balls, we have, you know, with all these touch things. There are so many variations of what I call just placing your hands on somebody’s shoulder and allowing the energy to go through or placing them on the person’s head.
Host: Yes.
Debbie: And so, when this came through it’s a 5 to 10-minute process, basically. And I call it a process because therapy and it’s a case of touching the shoulders, the arms, the hands, the back, the head, and the ears. And it’s tapping, this tapping very gently on to the surface of the body and then shifting and moving the energy. So the tapping actually says, “Hey, wake up in there”.
Host: Oh, okay.
Debbie: I’m hopeful that people that are listening will understand that we have meridian points throughout our bodies. And of course, a lot of people have heard about chakras that they run through the centers of our body. But we actually have meridian points throughout that’s why when people do reflexology or acupressure or acupuncture, they go through a certain point and apply the treatment to there and it resonates in the part of the body. When we understand that our body s is made up of biomes, thousands of tiny meridian points that are running through them, then we can understand this. So, when the sequence of just tapping and it’s just three very light taps, one, two, three, and then what is saying is, “Wake up in there”. And then the other movement is actually to shift it around and bring it back into the main parts of the meridian points. And what does it do? It works differently on different people. I can’t say it will fix this or help with that.
Host: Right.
Debbie: But it’s combined with, I play a piece of music called vibrational plenty of sound.
Host: Okay.
Debbie: Which is actually my voice resonated with music, which brings us down to a theta level. Now theta level is where we’re just above sleep state.
Host: Okay.
Debbie: We’re almost in that…That’s where we are when we do meditation.
Host: Right.
Debbie: Okay, we’re at the theta level. And so it’s bringing people into that calmness to be opened to it for the healing. And it’s so funny because of the colors involved in it as well.
Host: Oh.
Debbie: And at the end of the treatment this is, you know, I will always love it the ways spirit create these things and I’m going, “I don’t understand how these would come together” and I’ll try it out on somebody and they all come together like trust. I love trust. (laughing) It’s a piece of the word that we can put on a piece of paper and hand it to somebody. So the colors are then, a person will automatically see a color on the completion, you know, and the therapist invites them “What color do you see”. And it’s quite funny because people will say a color and this is they’re saying, “Well, it’s not my favorite color”. And we’re like, “Well, there’s something in that color “then they read the analysis, the color analysis and I would say to people if it resonates, you take it on board and if it doesn’t, let it go and every person says, “Oh, my gosh. That’s just what I needed to hear”.
Host: Okay.
Debbie: So again, it’s not telling them that this is the color that is going to help them with this and this. By giving the person permission to accept it or not to accept it. Like none of us wants to be told what to do. You know, we tend to do that, “I’m in charge” kind of thing. But when we invite somebody to look at something and ask if it resonates with them, they have the option to say yes or no. So we’re not telling them, this is what you need to feel, this is what you need. So again it’s done by an invitation process. And it’s a 5-minute therapy. It is available as an online course and a moment you can get that from my website. And sadly it’s not something you can do on yourself because a lot of people ask me if we can do it on other people. But it’s great for working with children because children don’t like to sit for very long lengths of time with things and it invites them to just for 5 minutes to just be there. So, it works in all different things. There’s no One-Size-Fits-All. It seems to work out in all that we need.

Host: vibrational-energy.com. Now, you’ve traveled the world, you’ve met many people from many different walks of life, you know, many backgrounds. And you get your message out to them, you talk to them individually, you talk to groups as well in large settings. I'm sure you come across the same questions over and over and you have answers to them. But I'm sure you must have one message that you'd like to give anyone you come into contact with for the world. What would that be?
Debbie: Yes, and it’s basically live every moment. Live every moment and embrace it. And if you don’t like it, change it. We have that ability. Because if we’re trying to live too far forward or we’re living back in the past, you know, the whole thing is, you know, the present is the gift that is of now and that’s what I’m trying to say to people. Embrace what you have now, the people that are in your life, the things you have in your life or don’t have in your life and move forward with that. Because, you know, a very good friend of mine who is an undertaker said to me, “Any day ‘six above the ground' is a good day”.
Host: Debbie, thank you so much for being on the Lifelong Wellness podcast today.
Debbie: Oh, I loved it so thank you so much.
